The course "Watershed Planning and Management" covers scientific and participatory approaches for sustainable land and water management at the watershed scale. It includes watershed delineation and prioritization, hydrological analysis, land capability assessment, water budgeting, and rainwater conservation practices. Emphasis is placed on participatory management, institutional development, and the use of Remote Sensing and GIS for planning and monitoring. Students also learn project formulation, implementation, and cost–benefit analysis for watershed development programs.
